About knitted sweaters

Personal views:

I loved knitting since childhood, it was sort of a tradition in my family. My grandmother was an expert knitter and so is my mum. I finished my first knitting project at age 6. It was a pink chunky wallet which I used to collect my coins. And because it didn’t had a fabric layer inside, the more coins I put inside, it was getting bigger and bigger, which earned it the name of magic wallet.
Knitting is always calming my mind. On sad days, touching colorful yarns lightens my mood so much. Until the age of 18, I knitted all kinds of different things, mostly sweaters and scarfs, but also enjoying pictorial knitting.
After university, I worked as a carpet designer for over 10 years. With each new rug I designed, I was thinking more about mixing my career with my favorite hobby, knitting.
And finally, here I found this opportunity to make my dreams come true in the form of our knitware!
It’s such a joy to see my designs turn to sweaters, being knitted perfectly to dress you and make you warm and special.

What is knit-on-demand?

Knit-on-demand is a system that gives you as a costumer many choices of different designs in different color combinations that are waiting for you to make an order. They are then produced just for you, based on what exactly you ordered. For now, we are offering knit-on-demand sweaters but in the near future, we will make more knitted products available.

Where do the design ideas come from and what makes it special?

Most of our products are inspired by Persian rugs, sometimes the designs look very modern, sometimes more classic but surely they all have at least a bit of rug inspiration in their being.
We design each and every sweater with a lot of love. Each single knot is carefully calculated and we spend days and sometimes weeks for single designs. If, like us, you are not a fan of fast fashion and if you are seeking to wear something truly unique with a story behind it, Grend Gallery sweaters are a great option for you!

What is the differences between 3D and 2D mock ups?

The 3D mock up pictures are made digitally, it simply is a 3D model that shows how the final product will look exactly. This technique is very useful for designers to check for any possible mistakes in the designs. Hence, the form and colors are very similar to the final product but the look of the material less so. As you may see, it has very digital looking. The 3D mock-up also gives you a clear vision of how each separate size would be look like.
The 2D mock up is also digitally made but its texture, model, appearance, and colors are much closer to the real product.

Here you can compare the real product photos with 3D and 2D mock up pictures:

As you can see, there are not so many differences between the pictures.

What is the material of our knitted products?

Our knitted sweaters are made from premium quality yarns with 55% cotton and 45% polyester. The cotton makes our sweaters so soft to the touch, fresh to wear and so natural to feel. And the polyester part makes them very comfortable, durable, and of course warm. The premium fabric of the knitware products are delightful and elegant. They sit so fitting on every body and give you the feeling of wearing the quality.

How can I know which size is perfect for me?

Finding the right size of the sweaters for your body is quite easy, all you need is yourself, your hands, and a measuring tape.
For each product separately we have a size guide in inches and centimeter. If you look closely there are three different specifics:
- length: the size of the sweater from neck to the bottom
- width: the size of sweater from left to right
- sleeve length: the size of the sleeves from the top of your shoulder to your wrist

Next, what you should do is standing totally relaxed and straight (better in front of a mirror) and put on the tape measure around your belly and chest, pick the larger number, divide it in two, and compare the number with the “width” in the size chart. Choose the closest number to your result if you want it tighter, or chose one bigger number than the result in case you want it comfortable and more relaxed. Please also measure the length on your arm and compare it with sleeve length in the chart.

Maybe an example could make it clearer:
Measured around the belly: 74 cm
Measured around chest: 90 cm
So the bigger number is 90 cm. Divide it by 2, so the result is 45 cm. So the closest size is 2XS for a very tight fit. XS would be more relaxed and wearing another layer under it wouldn’t be challenging. S could still fit for a slightly over-sized look, very comfortable and stylish.

In the end, it’s all up to you if you want it tight or comfortable but we are sure in any case they would look  great and beautiful on you.

A quick tip for measurement: if you already have a sweater and you like how its looks on you, just measure the length, width, and sleeve length from it and compare it with the chart table.

Do the designs change with different sizes?

The different sizes vary slightly in regards to the designs' proportions due to the difference in fabric size. On our website, you can click on each size separately to see the differences in the digital mock ups.
