Design Description
The designs of these knitted cushions are inspired by old Shahsavan carpets. The Shahsavan are a nomadic Turkic tribe, especially famous for their kilims. These carpets are characterized by their stylized, bold patterns. But there is a deeper meaning in the mostly geometric shapes of their mysterious designs. Like a hidden language, the patterns express the wishes, dreams or memories of the weavers.
Inspired by this, we present our own modern Shahsavan designs on these knitted cushions.
